Over the last one hundred and twenty years, our fundamental purpose has stayed the same - to keep people safe. MRS Training & Rescue began life as the Mines Rescue Service, with our heritage in rescue from major hazard environments, traditionally mining. In the event of a sustained emergency event, we have the resource to provide ongoing support including skilled management to liaise with the emergency services. Where an emergency falls outside the scope of the RAMS, our rescue team will conduct a dynamic risk assessment. Onsite, our specialist rescue teams follow the emergency arrangements agreed upon in the Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Our size means we can increase the number of people available to support the operation if required. All MRS sites operate to the same standards, are trained in the same way, and primarily use the same equipment. Mobilisation includes people, vehicles, and equipment. The on-call manager will mobilise teams locally initially, then calling on other resources if needed. If an incident requires an immediate response, we will contact our on-call manager.Access to our emergency call-out line, meaning issues can be reported at any time, night and day.Although we are not a 999 organisation that can just be called out, we do appreciate the potential impacts on a business, and so we can offer the service provisions below, but only by prior agreement/ contract: All team member shall have the knowledge on the use of confined space rescue equipment. Our experience of working across different sectors has shown that, despite all best efforts, things occasionally go wrong. The company must make sure that all rescue team members have expertise regarding the techniques and equipment for specific confined space.Ĭonfined Space Rescue team must be trained and well verse on types of confined space in the industries. In one unit of rescue team, there must be one person specialized in first aid and CPR. Then all the team members must be trained enough to enter confined space to conduct the rescue. In a situation when some companies have trained personnel to conduct rescue within the company. The company must have informed them the means of entry into the confined space.Įntry by Trained employees from the company: Apart from that, they should know the hazards, they may encounter. Those companies which did not have trained personnel for the emergency rescue or rescue team, they will depend on other rescue team such as Fire Department (BOMBA).īut it requires Fire Department (BOMBA) to be familiar with the types of confined space located in the facility. This type of rescue is conducted by other means such as rope or winch because it is conducted by without entry into the confined space.
